When the Italians Came to Feast.
Mama, Papa, and Gina came to supper tonight. (yea, I don't really call them that).
It was cool to test my food out on some true Italianos AND my family is not exactly 100% into this "macro" business. Especially my Dad who loves loves his pastas and meats...and ice cream. I tried my best to represent this meal in that way.
I decided to go with some dishes I already knew:
My Squash Soup for 1st coarse
My tempeh with sweet and soy sauce (mostly to resemble meat)
A great pressed salad (with diakkon to add to a nice detox for all that animal protein)
And a new Christina Pirello recipe: Fettuccine Alfredo pg. 212
